Best Rabby Wallet alternatives in 2026

The closest alternative to Rabby is MetaMask, which also adds Bitcoin, Solana and Tron. Zerion suits portfolio-focused users who need Solana, Rainbow suits mobile-first Ethereum users, and Phantom, Trust Wallet, OKX Wallet and Coinbase Wallet suit people who hold many non-EVM coins. Of these, only Zerion Premium matches Rabby's 0.25% default swap fee; OKX Wallet's fee varies by route.

Rabby is a strong EVM wallet, but it is not for everyone. It cannot hold Bitcoin or Solana, it has no official Firefox add-on, and some people prefer a simpler mobile app. Here are the wallets most worth considering instead, with facts checked on 25 October 2026. We have no affiliate deals with any of them.

Fees are each wallet's own charge on built-in swaps, on top of gas and any DEX fees. You can avoid them by using a DEX website directly.

Hardware support also differs widely. Rabby and MetaMask support the most devices on desktop; OKX Wallet supports Ledger, Trezor and Keystone; Zerion, Phantom, Coinbase Wallet and Trust Wallet support Ledger only (Trust Wallet and Coinbase Wallet through their browser extensions). If you already own a Trezor, Keystone or BitBox02, that narrows the list quickly.

MetaMask: the closest like-for-like

MetaMask works with almost every dapp, runs in Firefox as well as Chromium browsers, supports 12 hardware wallets on desktop and now holds native Solana, Bitcoin and Tron. It also previews transactions and shows security alerts by default. The downsides are a 0.875% swap fee and no desktop app. Full comparison: Rabby vs MetaMask.

Zerion: portfolio-first, with Solana

Zerion combines a polished portfolio view with a wallet for 59 networks, including Solana and Tron, on mobile, web and an extension that also runs in Firefox. Its 0.67% fee drops to 0.25% with Premium. It supports only Ledger for hardware. See Rabby vs Zerion.

Rainbow: friendly and mobile-first

Rainbow is open source and easy to use, with strong NFT and ENS features and the RNBW token for rewards. It covers Ethereum and about ten EVM networks only. See Rabby vs Rainbow.

Phantom: for Solana first

If most of your crypto is on Solana, Phantom is the obvious pick, and it also holds Bitcoin and some EVM assets. It is closed source, supports only Ledger and does not cover Arbitrum or Optimism. See Rabby vs Phantom.

Coinbase Wallet: easiest start

Coinbase Wallet (called the Base app from July 2025 until Coinbase announced the name change back in September 2026) lets you sign up with a passkey or email instead of a seed phrase and links easily to a Coinbase account. Its swap fee is up to 1%. See Rabby vs Coinbase Wallet.

Trust Wallet and OKX Wallet: the widest coverage

Both cover more than 100 chains on mobile. Trust Wallet's Chrome extension was hit by a malicious release in December 2025, which is worth weighing if you plan to use it on a computer; see Rabby vs Trust Wallet. OKX Wallet supports Ledger, Trezor and Keystone and links with the OKX exchange; see Rabby vs OKX Wallet.

What about Frame?

Frame, the open-source desktop wallet, was a favourite of hardware wallet users, but it has had no release since early February 2025. We do not recommend it for new users; see Rabby vs Frame.

When to stay with Rabby

Switching wallets has costs: new habits, new settings and, if you import a seed phrase, one more place it lives. Rabby is still the better choice if all your assets are on EVM chains, you use DeFi on more than one network and you value seeing a balance-change preview and risk warnings before every signature. Its 0.25% default swap fee, fee-free stablecoin swaps and broad hardware support are hard to match.

If the only thing missing is Bitcoin or Solana, the simplest answer is often a second wallet for those chains rather than replacing Rabby. And if your concern is safety, a hardware wallet connected to Rabby does more than any change of software wallet; see using Rabby with Ledger.

If Rabby is not working for you right now, check Rabby not working before switching: many problems come from browser settings or another wallet extension and are quick to fix.

How to choose

  1. List your chains. If you only use EVM networks, Rabby or MetaMask cover you. If you hold Bitcoin or Solana, you need a multichain wallet or a second wallet.
  2. Decide where you use crypto. At a computer with DeFi, an extension-first wallet suits you; on a phone, a mobile-first app.
  3. Check hardware support. For larger balances, use a hardware wallet. Rabby supports the widest range; see Rabby hardware wallets.
  4. Compare fees only if you swap in-wallet. Gas and slippage often matter more.
  5. Download only from official sources. Every wallet on this page is copied by scammers. Type the official address yourself, and for Rabby, check the extension ID with our Rabby extension checker.

You can use more than one wallet: many people keep Rabby for EVM DeFi and a second wallet for Solana or Bitcoin. A real wallet company will never ask for your seed phrase, and Rabby never does. If you are still deciding whether Rabby itself is right for you, start with our Rabby Wallet review.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Rabby Wallet?

For most people, MetaMask: it works with almost every dapp and adds Bitcoin, Solana and Tron. Zerion is a good choice if you want Solana with a strong portfolio view, and Rainbow if you prefer a mobile-first app.

Which Rabby alternative has the lowest swap fee?

Among the big multichain wallets, Zerion Premium matches Rabby's 0.25%, and OKX Wallet's route-based fee can be lower or higher. MetaMask (0.875%), Rainbow and Phantom (0.85%) and Coinbase Wallet (up to 1%) cost more.

Is there a Rabby alternative for Firefox?

Yes. MetaMask and Zerion both offer Firefox extensions. Rabby has no official Firefox add-on, and Rabby-branded Firefox add-ons have been fakes.

Which alternative supports Bitcoin and Solana?

MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, OKX Wallet and Coinbase Wallet support both. Zerion supports Solana but not Bitcoin. Rabby supports neither.

Is Frame still a good alternative?

Not for new users. Frame's last release was in early February 2025, and its code has not been updated since March 2025.
