What is Rabby Wallet?
Rabby Wallet is a free, self-custody crypto wallet for Ethereum and other EVM-compatible blockchains, built by the team behind the DeBank portfolio tracker. It runs as a browser extension for Chrome-based browsers and as an iOS and Android app, and it shows a simulation of what each transaction will do before you sign it. It does not support Bitcoin, Solana or Tron natively.
Rabby in one paragraph
Rabby is a wallet you install yourself. It creates or imports the private keys for your Ethereum-style addresses, stores them encrypted on your own device, and lets you connect to decentralised apps (dapps) such as exchanges, lending markets and NFT marketplaces. Nobody else holds your keys, so nobody else can freeze your funds, and nobody else can recover them if you lose your seed phrase. Rabby is made by the team behind DeBank, the multi-chain portfolio tracker, and its store listings name the developer as OPCODE LABS PTE. LTD. (App Store and Google Play, October 2026).
It is aimed at people who use DeFi across several EVM networks and want more warnings and more information before they sign. It is not a wallet for Bitcoin, Solana or Tron.
How Rabby works
Rabby reuses parts of MetaMask's open-source code (its GitHub page credits the MetaMask team), so the basics will feel familiar: a seed phrase (also called a recovery phrase), a password that unlocks the wallet on one device, and a pop-up that asks you to approve each connection, signature and transaction. Rabby then adds its own layer on top.
- Transaction simulation. Before you sign, Rabby runs the transaction against the current state of the chain and shows the expected balance changes: what leaves your wallet and what arrives. If a "claim" button would actually send your tokens away, you should see that before you confirm. Read more in how Rabby's transaction simulation works.
- Risk checks. Rabby flags things such as sending to an address you have never used, approving a contract with a poor record, or a swap with a bad price impact. You can still proceed, so the warnings help only if you read them.
- Automatic network switching. When you open a dapp, Rabby selects the chain that dapp uses, so you do not have to switch networks by hand.
- Approvals manager. You can see which contracts are allowed to move your tokens and revoke those you no longer trust. See how to revoke approvals in Rabby.
- Portfolio view. Because it is built by the DeBank team, Rabby shows balances, NFTs and DeFi positions across many EVM chains in one screen.

Main features
Built-in swap, bridge and perps
Rabby has a built-in swap that compares quotes from several aggregators and a bridge for moving tokens between chains. Rabby charges a 0.25% fee on built-in swaps and bridges, introduced in July 2024 (Rabby announcement, 5 July 2024). Wrapping and unwrapping the native token, stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps (since July 2026) and swaps between a native token and its liquid staking tokens are fee-free, and since late August 2026 large trades get a lower rate (Rabby wallet code and changelogs, October 2026). Since September 2025 Rabby has also offered a perpetual futures interface powered by Hyperliquid, where Hyperliquid's trading fees apply plus a 0.04% Rabby fee (Rabby extension, October 2026). Details are on Rabby swap fees and Rabby bridge.
Gas Account
Gas Account, launched in September 2024, lets you deposit USDC or USDT once and use that balance to pay gas on supported chains, so you do not need a little ETH, BNB or POL on every network. Rabby says it charges no extra fee beyond the gas and the cost of delivering it (Rabby on X, September 2024). See Rabby Gas Account explained.
Hardware wallets and multisig
Rabby works with many hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, OneKey, GridPlus Lattice1, BitBox02 and imKey connect directly, and Keystone, NGRAVE ZERO, CoolWallet and AirGap Vault connect by QR code. It also supports Safe multisig accounts and several institutional custody services. Mobile support for hardware wallets is narrower than in the extension. See hardware wallets in Rabby.
Points
Rabby launched a points programme on 23 January 2024. The extension says its first two rounds have ended. As of October 2026 no Rabby token or airdrop has been confirmed, and "claim your Rabby airdrop" sites are a common scam. See Rabby points and airdrop facts.
Newer additions
Releases during 2026 added prediction markets, lending, staking, a dust converter, biometric unlock and scam-token removal (Rabby changelogs). Features differ slightly between the extension and the mobile app.
Which blockchains does Rabby support?
Rabby supports only EVM-compatible networks: Ethereum and the chains that use the same address format and transaction model, such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and Avalanche C-Chain. IQ.wiki recorded 92 integrated EVM chains in September 2025, and 2025 reports describe 90+, and you can add other EVM networks with a custom RPC. It does not hold native Bitcoin, Solana, Tron or other non-EVM coins. The full picture is on Rabby supported chains and adding a custom network.
Is Rabby free?
Yes. Installing and holding assets in Rabby costs nothing. You pay normal network gas when you send transactions, as with any wallet. Rabby earns money from the fee on its built-in swap and bridge. If you swap on a dapp directly, for example on a decentralised exchange's own website, Rabby does not add its own fee.

How Rabby differs from MetaMask
Both are self-custody wallets with a seed phrase. Rabby's differences are mainly on the safety side (simulation and risk warnings by default, automatic network switching, a built-in approvals manager) and on fees (0.25% on built-in swaps compared with MetaMask's 0.875% as reported by CryptoSlate). MetaMask covers non-EVM assets and Firefox, which Rabby does not. The full comparison is on Rabby vs MetaMask.
Is Rabby open source?
The extension's code is public on GitHub under the MIT licence, with the Rabby name and logo reserved. The mobile app's code is public too, but reviewers noted in 2026 that its repository has no licence file, so it is better described as source-available (CryptoSlate, October 2026). Independent firms have audited both the extension and the mobile app; our safety guide lists the audits and the findings that were still open.
Who Rabby suits
- Good fit: people who use DeFi on several EVM chains, people who want a clear preview before signing, and Ledger, Trezor or Keystone users who want a richer interface than MetaMask.
- Less suited: people who mainly hold Bitcoin or Solana, Firefox users, and complete beginners who would be better served by learning seed-phrase basics first.
The one safety rule
Rabby, DeBank and any genuine support team will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and support never contacts you first by direct message. Fake Rabby websites, extensions and apps are common and often rank above the real site in search results, so type rabby.io yourself or use a bookmark. Before you install, read how fake Rabby wallets work, then follow our setup guide.
Frequently asked questions
Who makes Rabby Wallet?
Rabby is built by the team behind DeBank, the multi-chain portfolio tracker. The App Store and Google Play listings name the developer as OPCODE LABS PTE. LTD. as of October 2026.
Is Rabby Wallet custodial?
No. Rabby is self-custody: your keys are created and stored encrypted on your device. Nobody at Rabby can move or recover your funds, so your seed phrase backup is the only way back in.
Can Rabby hold Bitcoin or Solana?
No. Rabby supports Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains only. Wrapped versions of Bitcoin on EVM chains, such as WBTC, are ordinary tokens and do work.
Does Rabby work on Firefox?
No official Rabby add-on exists for Firefox. In 2026 security researchers found modified Rabby builds among malicious Firefox add-ons, so treat any Rabby-branded Firefox add-on as fake.
Do I need a DeBank account to use Rabby?
No. Rabby works without any account, email or sign-up. You only need a seed phrase, private key or hardware wallet.
