Rabby swap and bridge fees in 2026

Rabby charges a 0.25% fee on its built-in swaps and bridges, included in the quote. Wrapping, listed stablecoin pairs and native-to-staking-token pairs are free on swaps, and as of October 2026 trades of 100,000 USD or more pay 0.12% and 1 million USD or more pay nothing. Network gas is separate.

Rabby itself is free to download and use. You pay normal network gas for every transaction, and Rabby takes a fee only when you use its built-in Swap or Bridge. Rabby says it "will always find the best possible rate from top aggregators and verify the reliability of their offers. Rabby charges a 0.25% fee (0% for wrapping), which is automatically included in the quote" (Rabby extension, October 2026).

Rabby announced the fee as new at the time ("In the new version, we charge a 0.25% fee in our built-in swap", Rabby on X, quoted by Crypto Economy, 5 July 2024), which is why some older articles still say Rabby swaps are free. Several 2026 review sites repeat that claim; it is wrong for standard swaps.

When fees are waived

Rabby's swap screen shows the fee next to the quote. When a discount applies, it shows 0.25% struck through and the lower rate, with a "Rabby Fee Discount" note. In the October 2026 code the cases are:

  • Wrap/Unwrap Native Token: free on swaps.
  • Stablecoins: free on same-chain swaps when both tokens are on Rabby's stablecoin list. Not every stablecoin is listed, and the waiver does not apply to bridging.
  • LST/LRT Token: free on swaps between a chain's native token and a recognised liquid staking or restaking version of it.
  • Vol $100k - $1M: 0.12% on a single swap or bridge in that size range.
  • Vol $1M+: free on a single swap or bridge of that size.

The size discounts are calculated per transaction, from the dollar value of what you pay. They are not cumulative monthly volume. Rabby can change these rules at any time, so always check the fee line on the quote before you sign.

What you really pay on a swap

A swap has up to four costs. Only the first is Rabby's:

  1. Rabby fee: 0.25% or less, built into the quote.
  2. Network gas: paid to the blockchain, not to Rabby. Tiny on most layer-2 chains, higher on Ethereum mainnet.
  3. Price impact and slippage: the difference between the quoted and executed price, larger for big trades or thin liquidity.
  4. Aggregator or DEX fees: some routes include a fee from the DEX or aggregator. Rabby compares quotes from aggregators such as 1inch, 0x, KyberSwap, ParaSwap and Odos, among others (Rabby source code, October 2026).

Our gas and swap cost estimator lets you put your own numbers in for gas, token price and swap size, and compares Rabby's fee with a 0.875% fee.

Trust WalletNo published wallet fee rateNot confirmedVultisig, citing Trust Wallet's FAQ, October 2026

Vultisig is itself a wallet company, so treat its table as a secondary source. Rabby's own interface also shows a comparison popup listing MetaMask at 0.875% and Phantom at 0.85%. Headline fees are not the whole story: the route, price impact and gas often matter more on small trades. For a full feature comparison see Rabby vs MetaMask.

Worked examples

These use only the wallet fee. Gas and price impact are extra and depend on the chain and the moment.

TradeRabby feeAt 0.875% (MetaMask)
Swap 1,000 USD of ETH to USDC on Arbitrum0.25% = 2.50 USD8.75 USD
Swap 1,000 USDC to USDT on Base (both on Rabby's stablecoin list)0 USD8.75 USD
Wrap 2 ETH to WETH0 USDNot covered by our sources
Bridge 500 USD of USDC from Ethereum to Base0.25% = 1.25 USD, plus the bridge's own cost4.38 USD, plus the bridge's own cost
Swap 150,000 USD of ETH to USDC0.12% = 180 USD1,312.50 USD
Swap 2,000,000 USD of ETH to USDC0 USD17,500 USD

On a large trade, check the Rabby quote against a DEX directly: price impact can be larger than any wallet fee. On a small trade on Ethereum mainnet, gas can be larger than the fee.

How to pay less

  • Use layer-2 networks for small swaps, where gas is low.
  • Use listed stablecoin pairs and wraps, which are free in Rabby.
  • Avoid swapping back and forth to farm points. There is no confirmed airdrop; see Rabby Points and airdrop.
  • Advanced users can swap directly on a DEX through Rabby's dapp connection. You still get Rabby's simulation and risk alerts, but no Rabby fee. You lose the aggregator comparison, so check prices yourself.

Whatever route you use, read the balance change preview before you sign: how Rabby's simulation works. Since August 2026 Rabby also shows that preview for its own swap and bridge transactions (Rabby source code, August 2026).

Fee-related scams

Rabby never asks you to "pay a fee to unlock" a swap, a withdrawal or a stuck transaction. The Rabby fee is always taken inside the quote; you never send it separately. Messages asking you to send a "gas fee", "activation fee" or "Rabby fee" to an address, or to verify your wallet on a website, are scams. So are people offering fee refunds in DMs. Rabby support never DMs you first and never asks for your seed phrase.
